INVER REDS BACK ON TOP AFTER 'BREDA WIN

Larne moved back to the table following this clinical defeat of Knockbreda at Inver Park.

Ryan Kane might have fired Larne in front early in the game only for his right-wing cross to come back off the woodwork after evading 'Breda 'keeper Steven McKay.

Darren Stuart opened the scoring for David McAlinden's side after 20 minutes after another Kane delivery, this time from the left, was nodded home at the near post.

Stuart made it 2-0 four minutes from the break. Knockbreda were reduced to ten men when Thomas Wray was dismissed for handling a James McCabe effort and whilst McKay saved Stuart's initial spot-kick he could do nothing to prevent the follow-up from finding the net.

McCabe got on the scoresheet himself a couple of minutes into the second half after slotting home a perfectly delivered Michael Smith through ball.

Larne were reduced to ten men themselves with 20 minutes remaining when Paul Maguire was shown a red card for an off the ball incident.

The visitors grabbed a late consolation through substitute Mark Cooling with a free-kick which went beyond the reach of 'keeper Joel Madison.
