Dundela dropped points for the first time this season but still stay top of the table following this draw with Newry City at Wilgar Park.

Both goals came in the first half, with Mark McCabe opening the scoring for the visitors on eight minutes from the edge of the six yard box after combining with Lee Duffy.

Ben Murdock levelled for the Duns four minutes from the break when he was on hand to find the net at the post after a corner had been delivered from the right.

After the break Jay Magee came close with a low free-kick from distance which Newry keeper Andy Coleman did well to get down to save.

But Newry looked the more likely to edge in front. Kevin McArdle saw a cross flash across the face of goal before Stephen Moan had an effort tipped over by Ryan McBride from inside the area.

McArdle came even closer when he raced onto a punt forward but with home defence in pursuit and McBride coming off his line he could only send the ball narrowly wide the left post.

For Dundela William Bingham was unlucky when his goalbound effort was touched over while Daniel Burns fired high into the side netting following a run down the left.

Newry ended the game with ten men when McCabe was dismissed right at the end for twice re-entering the field of play without the referee's permission.
