Dergview produced a demolition job on basement boys Lurgan Celtic to take Peter Allen's side to just one point away from climbing out of the bottom two.
From the first whistle it was very obvious it was going to be long afternoon for Celtic and after Ryan Campbell went close on a couple of occasions, it was Andy Sproule who opened the scoring by galloping through to steer the ball past Celtic 'keeper Caolan Cush.
Cush was again picking the ball out of the net after Campbell coolly finished before the returning Dylan McCorkell added a third by scoring direct from a corner kick.
Dergview were already threatening to run riot and Garth Falconer brought the first half to an end by scoring the goal of the game. The left-sided midfielder swept past two defenders before rifling a low shot to Cush's bottom right hand corner from all of 25 yards.
Even at this stage there was no way back for the visitors whose only resistance in the opening 45 minutes came from Ruairi McDonald who twice in quick succession blazed over the bar.
In the second period Michael Doran had a header well saved by Alan Buchanan, who was then relieved to see a Curtis Hallissey penalty kick rebound off his crossbar to safety.
Mind you by that stage the hosts were well and truly home and hosed having established a 7-0 lead.
Dergview's fifth was another accomplished finish from Campbell early in the second half before super sub Alex Pomeroy weighed in with a splendid brace.
The striker's first was a stunning bullet header after fellow replacement Adam Dougherty had beaten two men on the right to provide a pinpoint cross while his second was a well placed shot after the attacker had outfoxed his marker.
Dougherty then completed a good afternoon's work by controlling and firing across Cush inside the far post.
