ROCKS GOAL ENOUGH FOR SKY BLUES
A Donal Rocks goal proved the difference as Ballymena United edged to victory over Ards at The Showgrounds.
The 24-year-old bagged what proved to be the only goal of the game with just under a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock when he connected with a cross from the left to knock the ball past keeper Alex Moore.
Ards had their chances to level after the break, with Ross Hunter rounding the keeper only for the ball to get stuck while Lee Newell sent an effort just wide a few moments after that.
Ballymena had a late chance to double their advantage, however, only to strike the woodwork before the danger was cleared.
