McDAID HITS LATE WINNER AS GLENAVON SQUEEZE THROUGH
Glenavon needed a late goal to edge past Newington at Inver Park.
The Lurgan Blues led at the break with Niall Quinn found the net with a deflected effort around the half-hour mark.
And they doubled their advantage early in the second half when Michael O'Connor struck on 49 minutes, but the Swans hit back later in the second half through Gerard Storey and Robbie Morrow to set up a tense finish.
However, the visitors struck with five minutes remaining as David McDaid scored what proved to be the winner.
