REDS COMFORTABLY THROUGH TO LAST 16
Cliftonville secured an uncomplicated three goal defeat of Institute at Solitude to progress to the next round of the BetMcLean Cup.
The Reds moved in front as early as the fourth minute when Ben Wilson latched onto a through ball to beat keeper Gareth Muldoon despite an attempted goalline clearance from Dylan King.
That was how it stayed until midway through the second half after Rory Hale doubled the Reds' lead with a curling effort into the corner from the edge of the area.
Then, with just over ten minutes remaining, Stephen Mallon completed the scoring after running onto a Hale through ball to slot past Muldoon with confidence.
