VILLAGERS UPSET GLENAVON TO MAKE LAST EIGHT
Loughgall shocked Glenavon at Mourneview Park to book a place in the last eight of the BetMcLean Cup.
Eoin Bradley had the ball in the net for Glenavon early in the game but this was ruled out offside.
The home side came close again not long after but Matthew Snoddy could only strike an upright from an acute angle.
Loughgall moved in front two minutes into the second half through Pablo Andrade with a finish low across keeper Rory Brown into the bottom corner.
Glenavon might have levelled just before the hour but Ben Murdock was on hand to clear Conor Kerr's effort off the line.
The Villagers extended their lead four minutes from time through former Lurgan Blue Mark Patton who pounced on the rebound after Brown had initially kept out Nedas Maciulaitis' effort.
Jack Malone pulled one back for Gary Hamilton's side deep into stoppage time from eight yards but there wasn't enough time left to spark what would have been a dramatic late comeback.
