FOUR FOR RONAN AS REDS STORM THROUGH
BetMcLean Cup holders Cliftonville stormed to a six-goal thrashing of Carrick Rangers to move into the quarter-finals.
Rory Hale opened the scoring after 18 minutes following a scramble in the area, with brother Ronan doubling up seven minutes before the break after getting on the end of a Nathan Gartside punt to find the net at the near post.
Ronan doubled his tally for the evening just after the hour with an unmarked header before bagging his hat-trick nine minutes after that into the bottom corner.
Jamie McDonagh made it 5-0 to the Reds soon after with an effort into the top corner with Ronan Hale completing the scoring with his fourth of the night three minutes from time.
