NEWRY EDGE THROUGH AT DIXON PARK
Newry City edged past Ballyclare Comrades at Dixon Park to reach the BetMcLean Cup quarter-finals.
Both sides came close in the first half with Newry hitting the post early on while Ballyclare's Conall Curran had the ball in the net only for it to be ruled out offside.
However, the deadlock was broken on 40 minutes when Daniel Hughes handed the visitors the advantage.
Ballyclare came back to equalise midway through the second half thanks to Kyle Beggs but, with five minutes remaining, Declan Carville knocked home the winner for Newry.
