COMRADES FIGHT BACK FROM TWO DOWN
Ballyclare Comrades recovered from two goals down to defeat Ballinamallard United after extra-time at Dixon Park.
Reece Byrne fired the Mallards in front on 27 minutes after knocking home the rebound from Declan Breen's initial save.
John Edgar then doubled the visitors advantage six minutes later but Darius Roohi pulled one back from the spot a short time after that.
Ballyclare could have levelled midway through the second half only for Cathal Farren to miss a second penalty ... but a third home spot-kick of the game with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining was converted by Gary Donnelly.
Level after normal time, extra-time was required with Conall Curran edging the Comrades in front for the first time on 100 minutes with a finish into the bottom corner.
Liam Hassin then completed the scoring right at the end to make sure of Ballyclare's place in the last 16.
