'POINT HIT ROESIDERS FOR SIX
Warrenpoint Town swept past PIL opponents Limavady United to continue their BetMcLean League Cup run into the semi-finals.
It took only a couple of minutes for 'Point to move in front when Alan O'Sullivan touched home at the near post after Fra McCaffrey played the ball across.
Thomas Maguire made it 2-0 on eight minutes, after Luke Wade Slater outsprinted the defence to send in a low cross.
Number three arrived on 25 minutes when McCaffrey cushioned the ball to O'Sullivan who duly volleyed home for his second of the evening.
Stuart Hutchinson added a fourth after half-an-hour despite keeper Connor Brown getting a hand to the ball before, right at the end of the first half, Maguire doubled his tally with a great finish from the left.
To their credit Limavady started the second half brightly but they fell further behind on the hour after O'Sullivan converted from the spot into the bottom right after Wade Slater was brought down in the box.
The Roesiders did grab a late consolation through Matthew Brown ten minutes from time.
