ROOHI AND SCANNELL DOUBLE UP TO SEE ARDS THROUGH
Two goals each from Darius Roohi and Eamon Scannell helped Ards to a comfortable 4-0 win over Dollingstown in the BetMcLean League Cup.
Roohi opened the scoring midway through the first half. He got on the end of a punt forward to cut inside Jake Redpath on the right side of the area before firing across the face of goal into the opposite bottom corner.
He turned provided early in the second to lay the ball off for Scannell on the edge of the area to double Ards' lead with a left foot finish.
Scannell then added a third seven minutes after that with a low half volley from a similar position after Jamie Glover had darted down the left flank before delivering the crucial ball.
Not to be outdone Roohi doubled his own tally just after the hour after running onto a Sam Dinu flick to clinically finish into the bottom right.
