DOLLYBIRDS CAUSE CUP UPSET AT SHAMROCK PARK
Dollingstown caused a BetMcLean League Cup surprise with a second round victory over Portadown at Shamrock Park.
The Ports led at the break, but it took them 42 minutes to open the scoring when Adam McCallum was placed at the back post to nod home a long Aaron Duke throw-in.
Dollingstown, who begin their league campaign this weekend, levelled just after the hour following a period of pressure thanks to Richard Thompson's thundering finish beyond keeper Bobby Marshall into the top corner.
Portadown might have regained the lead as the game moved into the final ten minutes when Gary Millar sent an effort just past an upright but, with six minutes to go, Keith Johnston knocked home Dollingstown's winner with a spot-kick into the bottom corner.
