DUNGANNON OVERCOME DERGVIEW CHALLENGE
Dungannon Swifts safely negotiated the challenge of championship opponents Dergview to reach the next round of the BetMcLean League Cup.
After surviving some early pressure, during which Dergview struck an upright, the Swifts moved in front through Seanan Clucas midway through the first half when he ran onto a long punt forward to calmly slot the ball past keeper Alan Buchanan.
Then, four minutes before the hour, Ryan Waide doubled Dungannon's lead with a superbly taken free-kick which whistled past Buchanan into the left side of the net.
