PARKHILL HAT-TRICK HELPS BANNSIDERS THROUGH
Coleraine comfortably booked their place in the draw for the BetMcLean League Cup's next round thanks to an Ian Parkhill treble against Annagh United.
The Bannsiders almost opened the scoring on 16 minutes when captain Stephen O'Donnell seen his half-volley cleared off the line by an Annagh United defender.
Coleraine took the lead after 32 minutes as striker Emmet McGuckin was brought down in the penalty area. Ben Doherty slotted home the resulting spot-kick into the bottom corner of Hughes' goal.
Oran Kearney's side scored a second on the hour mark, when goalscorer Ben Doherty turned provider to Ian Parkhill - who rifled the ball home.
Parkhill again was on target to put the game to bed 11 minutes later as he latched onto substitute Alex Gawne's ball to score.
On 76 minutes, Ian Parkhill confirmed he was going home with the match ball as he took a superb ball from Douglas to bag his hat-trick.
