Signed for Ards during the January 2020 transfer window from Warrenpoint Town. Prior to his time at Milltown he was on Kilmore Rec's books following a season with Knockbreda. A former Harry Cavan Youth Cup winner with Glenavon, Young has also been capped by Northern Ireland U18 Schoolboys.
