TRUSSELL AT THE DOUBLE FOR HIGH FLYING COMRADES

Ballyclare Comrades kept their place amongst the leading pack with this defeat of PSNI at Dixon Park.

Chris Trussell opened the scoring for the Comrades after ten minutes with a finish from inside the area after a decisive home move down the middle of the park.

Then, just after the half-hour mark, Jason Johnston added a second with a low shot through a crowded box.

Well deserving of their lead, Ballyclare went on to extend their advantage eight minutes after the break with Trussell's second following some good approach play from Thomas Robinson.

The PSNI did attempt a late revival with Lukasz Adamczyk pulling one back on 71 minutes before Owen Moody reduced the arrears further still with a minute remaining but it was too little, too late to salvage anything.
