THREE-GOAL HOOPS PICK UP IMPORTANT AWAY WIN

Lurgan Celtic picked up an important three points with this victory at Holm Park.

City had the ball in the net on 20 minutes when Shea Campbell curled the ball past Celtic 'keeper Conor McCorry from just outside the box only to have it ruled out for offside.

On the half hour mark City were awarded a free 25 yards out but McCorry managed to tip Shea Campbell's shot round his right hand post for a corner.

Minutes later it was home 'keeper John Connolly's turn to rescue his side when he was forced into a point blank save.

The visitors took the lead five minutes before the interval when Ciaran Ryan latched onto a ball before calmly rounding the 'keeper to slot it home.

Celtic controlled the remainder of the half and might well have added to the score-line, however in the final seconds Philip Donnelly just failed to get on the end of a excellent Jordan Bell cross for the home side.

City had a great chance to equalise at the start of the second half when the ball broke to Shea McGerrigan but in a one on one situation with the keeper it was 'keeper McCorry who came to Celtic's rescue.

Celtic extended their lead minutes later when Dale Malone cut in from the left to fire an unstoppable shot past Connolly.

City did respond and had a couple of half chances but failed to get their passing game going and cause any serious threat to the visitors defence.

Celtic added a third four minutes from time when Jordan Gibson scored from close range.

The scoring didn't end there when in the 90th minute City got on the scoresheet when Paul Carville fired home a free-kick from just outside the penalty area.
