'POINT NEED TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER

A tight, evenly fought first half was light on goalmouth action as both sides worked hard to close down their opponents.

Warrenpoint, needing only one point to seal the Championship title, came close to the opener in the 63rd minute when Conor McMenamin saw his first-time shot from 16 yards strike the angle of bar and post.

Comrades almost took the lead in the 77th minute when a fine move ended with JB Dobbin striking a fierce shot from nine yards, which looked set for the top corner of the net, was only kept out by a fine save from Johnny Parr.

The home side grabbed a sensational late winner when substitute Thomas Robinson struck a wonderful low strike, wide of the 'keeper and inside the far post, from 15 yards.
