'BREDA DON'T EXTEND RUN BUT STAY TOP

Bluefin Sport Championship leaders Knockbreda looked to extend their winning run to six games but in the end had to settle for a draw from Dergview's visit to Breda Park.

Mark Cooling came close to opening the scoring after a quarter-of-an-hour only to send a low effort just past an upright.

The visitors then started to come into the game with dangerous pacy breaks from a solid defensive shape.

On 48 minutes 'Breda's Karl Hamill had a headed chance from six yards cleared off the line and with the home team continuing to attack

a great pass from Cooling saw Lewis Irwin race clear into the box but firing just over on 56 minutes.

On a dangerous break five minutes later the visitors nearly snatched the lead with a shot narrowly past but 'Breda continued to press with Stephen Cockcroft and Ciaran Murray also coming close.
