ANNAGH END YEAR WITH WELCOME POINT

Teenager Lorcan Forde fired 'Point in front just after the quarter-of-an-hour mark with a well taken finish after Conor McMenamin had pulled the ball back.

Annagh levelled ten minutes from the break through Padraig Judge after 'keeper Johnny Parr failed to deal with a cross into the box.

Forde might have restored Warrenpoint's advantage just before the half-time whistle only to turn the ball against an upright.

However, Annagh moved in front themselves four minutes into the second half thanks to a cracking finish from Ben Eagles.

'Point came close again just after the hour only for the normally deadly Stephen Murray to fail to convert from the spot, sending the ball high over the bar.

He made amends soon after, though, after doing well to turn and beat Eoin Hughes from inside the box.
