Institute comfortably swept past Moyola Park at Mill Meadow to book their place in the Northern Ireland League Cup second round.
Michael McCrudden opened the scoring on 18 minutes with a well-executed back post volley from Stephen Curry's cross from the right.
Sean McCarron made it 2-0 seven minutes later after he connected with a Ciaron Harkin pass before turning to create space for himself to finish with composure.
The game was as good as over on 53 minutes after Aaron Harkin grabbed 'Stute's third with a tremendous curling free-kick from the edge of the box which gave Moyola 'keeper Marcin Farniok no chance.
Moyola did pull a goal back just after the hour through Daniel McIlhatton's close range strike but it was too little, too often to change the outcome.
Institute now face HW Welders in the second round on 30th August.
