Warrenpoint Town dumped last season's runners-up Ards out of the Northern Ireland League Cup with an extra-time victory in Bangor.
John McGuigan opened the scoring on 16 minutes with a low, hard finish beyond Aaron Hogg after Liam Bagnall teed him up with a clever little pass.
'Point might have increased their advantage before the break with Bagnall firing into the side netting while Liam McKenna had an effort saved.
Ards levelled with just over a quarter-of-an-hour of normal time remaining after Guillaume Keke connected with a Craig McMillen corner to nod home at the back post.
McGuigan restored Warrenpoint's advantage a minute into extra-time when he followed up after a Tiernan Mulvenna header had been well saved.
Keke then brought Ards back into the game for a second time after hooking the ball into the net from close range from a McMillen right-sided delivery.
But McGuigan claimed his hat-trick on 111 minutes after running onto a ball through the middle to confidently beat Hogg before, in the final moments, Conor McMcMenamin made sure with a tap-in from a cross floated over from the right.
