TEN MAN BANNSIDERS GRAB THREE POINTS AT STANGMORE

Coleraine got the new campaign off to the ideal start with all three points from this visit to Stangmore Park.

All the scoring came after the break by which time the Bannsiders were down to ten men following Steven Douglas' 55th minute dismissal for a second bookable offence.

Ciaron Harkin broke the deadlock on 64 minutes with an unstoppable drive into the top corner from an Eoin Bradley lay-off.

Stephen O'Donnell made it 2-0 on 73 minutes with a header from inside the area although Ryan Mayse did pull one back for the Swifts soon after a through ball from Stefan Lavery created the opening.

But Ian Parkhill restored Coleraine's two-goal cushion right at the end to complete the scoring moments after Swifts 'keeper Andy Coleman had been dismissed for bringing down Brad Lyons.
