MAYSE INSPIRES SWIFTS TO ANOTHER WIN

Dungannon Swifts picked up a third consecutive win and clean sheet with this defeat of visitors Ballinamallard United at Stangmore Park.

A quiet opening to the game saw Ryan Mayse involved in both efforts of note. Early in proceedings he got on the end of a Liam McMenamin through ball only to blaze over while, a little later, his shot on goal was fumbled by Richard Brush with Paul McElroy unable to tuck away the loose ball.

But the Swifts did go in at the break a goal to the good when, on 43 minutes, Ryan Harpur finished off after a Peter McMahon effort took a wicked deflection into his path.

Raymond Fitzpatrick might feel he could have done better early in the second half after pouncing on a poor Richard Brush clearance only to send a drive just over.

However, it was 2-0 to the Swifts on 70 minutes when Mayse sent a superb curling effort beyond Brush into the top left corner from outside the box.
