MALLARDS REDISCOVER THAT WINNING FEELING

Ballinamallard United picked up their first win in six outings with this ultimately comfortable three-goal defeat of Glentoran at Ferney Park.

Glentoran thought that they taken an early lead when, after two minutes, Curtis Allen thought he had directed a Stephen O'Flynn shot past Richard Brush, only to be ruled out offside.

The Mallards grabbed the advantage on 18 minutes through Ryan Mayse after he got on the end of a Ryan Curran shot to deflect the ball past Elliott Morris.

And it was 2-0 on 26 minutes when Colm McLaughlin was quickest to react after Niall Owens' free-kick came back off the woodwork.

Shane McGinty added a third seven minutes into the second half following a run from midfield which ended with a finish past Morris at the second attempt.
